Knot Just Knits is proud to offer a very special way to turn your passion for needlework into something for those in need.

Ongoing:

Mother Bear Project From www.motherbearproject.org:

The Mother Bear Project is dedicated to providing comfort and hope to children affected by HIV/AIDS in emerging nations, by giving them a gift of love in the form of a hand-knit or crocheted bear. The simple gift of a hand-knit bear with a tag signed by the knitter has touched children with the message that they are unconditionally loved.

All bears are made from the same knit or crochet pattern. They are made from a World War II-era pattern that was chosen because the bears are lightweight and easy to send. Each pattern will include a tag for you to sign your first name and attach to your bear’s wrist before sending it back.

Special Projects:

Thanks to all who knit for the Red Scarf project.  I received the following note from Lynn Davis, Director of Community Partnerships for Foster Care to Success:

“Thank you so much for your generous scarf donations.  We are delighted that so many talented knitters and crocheters chose to participate in the program.  Each year we continue to be amazed at the generosity and creativity of the needle arts community.”
